I Choose To Be Wealthy!
Yes. Today, I choose to be wealthy. I want financial freedom. I always
envy my friends who enjoy the good yuppie life, living in the city fulfilled,
having vacations out of town or out of the country. Hey, I’m still single and
should supposed enjoy my life.
Pero paano? I'm the breadwinner of the family. All of my siblings
don't have a proper/regular work. They have family and kids, who without
directly saying to me, I can feel their hearts shouting PLEASE HELP US KUYA!!!.
I have a typical Filipino family, a family who always relies on an OFW to
support them. My parents are retired and unfortunately they don’t have
retirement plans. My mom is a retired public school teacher and just like any
other retirees, her lump sum benefits only went to nothing. So basically, I’m
the retirement plan of my parents. Without me supporting them, they will die.
About my Kuya and 2 sisters behind me, they also depend on me. Just last month,
my sister JOKINGLY asked me to support the school requirements of her 4, yes 4
kids in grade school and I jokingly replied, “WHY ASKED ME, I’M NOT THE
FATHER”, I CAN ONLY GIVE MORAL SUPPORT, TITO LANG AKO”. I finally gave in, with
all the lambing and sweet words from my pamangkin, bumigay din si TITO.
So, sa lahat ng drama ng buhay ko, dapat mahalin ko rin ang sarili ko.
Every month, kada sahod, I always make it a point na I always save for myself,
I have a limit every month sa pinapadala ko sa parents ko. With my 5 years as
OFW, ang savings ko sa isang simple saving account lang. Di ko alam ang ibang
instruments to save. Just last month, na click ko yung isang link sa facebook
ang Truly Rich Club
ni Bo Sanchez. Dun ko nalaman na pwede palang lumago ang savings ko
maliban sa savings or time-deposit accounts. Ilanga raw din akong napaisip kung
sasali ako. Inisip ko gastos na naman eto, may membership pa kasi para sumali
sa Truly Rich Club.
After 1 week na pag-iisip, sige I decided to join. I’m not an expert para
explain ko lahat ditto ang mga naintidihan ko sa Truly Rich Club.
