2 Ingredients For Creating Your Miracle

2 Ingredients For
Creating Your Miracle

Today, God wants to tell you, "Child, I have given you the capacity to create
your miracles. I merely supply the raw materials. But you manufacture the
miracles that you need."
Today, you will learn how to create your miracles.

Cockroaches In A Retreat Houses

Many years ago, when I was still young and handsome (now, I'm just
irresistible), I gave a retreat to a bunch of female college students.

While preparing for my talks in my bedroom, a regular-sized cockroach flew in
and buzzed around the ceiling. I didn't know why I did this, but I found myself
pointing my finger to it and commanded, "In Jesus name, come down and die!"
In a second, I saw the insect hit an invisible wall and it came crashing
down on the hard floor, dead as a stone.
Suddenly, I felt powerful.
I lifted my pointer finger to my lips and blew the imaginary smoke.
A few minutes later, I was preaching to an enthusiastic crowd of young
female college students.
Remember the cockroach I "killed" in my room?
Without warning, the grandfather of that bug came into the seminar room, seeking

vengeance.

It was huge and menacing.
You can just imagine the dramatic effect this had on an all-women audience. They

were busy ducking for shelter and hiding beneath desks, and my talk was quickly
losing much of its appeal.
I remembered what I did in my room a few minutes ago.
I wondered if I should do the same thing—command it to die.
But this was different.
I was alone in my room then; Now, I was in front of people.
What if nothing will happen?
But I was 19 years old, brash and brave.
So in front of everyone, I pointed my finger to the flying beast and

TO DIE FOR

...You who once were far off have become near by the blood of Christ. –
Ephesians 2:13

"Have you tried the decadent chocolate cake at this place?" a friend once asked
me.
"Not yet," I replied, "Is it good?"
"It's to die for!" she exclaimed.
Now what does decadent chocolate have to do with the chosen verse above?
I just had a crazy thought: In Jesus' eyes, we are decadent chocolate. And we
are to die for! Despite our sinfulness, we are appealing to Him, lovable, and
addicting.
Jesus' love for us is so great. He wants us to be with Him in His Father's
Kingdom and so He offered up His body and blood not only for His people —
including the very ones who had Him crucified — but for the whole of mankind and

its generations to come. And that includes you and me.
In the Holy Eucharist, Jesus Christ dies for us all over again that we may
witness His great sacrifice for our salvation. May you never forget that you are

precious to Him, and that you are to die for. Nova Arias (nova.svp@gmail.com)

REFLECTION:
Do you feel unworthy of God's love? Why? Isn't His sacrifice enough for you?

Jesus, my Savior, I thank You for dying for me. May Your sacrifice be a constant

reminder of how precious I am in Your eyes.

We are meant to be built into a temple for the Lord. This is our destiny and it
begins now. All we have to do is discover how the Holy Spirit wants to do this
work with us. The challenge that we face every day is discovering where the
Spirit is leading us. Let us pray for minds and hearts that are attuned to the
will of God.

Ephesians 2:12-22
12 Brothers and sisters: You were at that time without Christ, alienated from
the community of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, without hope
and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far
off have become near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, he who made

both one and broke down the dividing wall of enmity, through his flesh, 15
abolishing the law with its commandments and legal claims, that he might create
in himself one new person in place of the two, thus establishing peace, 16 and
might reconcile both with God, in one body, through the cross, putting that
enmity to death by it. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far off and

peace to those who were near, 18 for through him we both have access in one
Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but

you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God,
20 built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus
himself as the capstone. 21 Through him the whole structure is held together and

grows into a temple sacred in the Lord; 22 in him you also are being built
together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

P S A L M

Psalm 85:9ab-10, 11-12, 13-14
R: The Lord speaks of peace to his people.
8 [9] I will hear what God proclaims; the LORD-for he proclaims peace. 9 [10]
Near indeed is his salvation to those who fear him, glory dwelling in our land.
(R) 10 [11] Kindness and truth shall meet; justice and peace shall kiss. 11 [12]

Truth shall spring out of the earth, and justice shall look down from heaven.
(R) 12 [13] The LORD himself will give his benefits; our land shall yield its
increase. 13 [14] Justice shall walk before him, and salvation, along the way of

his steps. (R)

G O S P E L

The early American martyrs who died seeking to bring the Indians to faith in
Christ witness to us lives of incredible commitment and bravery. They died
horrible deaths that I believe they would have known were a distinct possibility

before they started their ministry. Yet, they did not turn back; the call of the

Gospel was stronger than the call of self-preservation.

Luke 12:35-38
35 Jesus said to his disciples: "Gird your loins and light your lamps 36 and be
like servants who await their master's return from a wedding, ready to open
immediately when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those servants whom the
master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself,
have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them. 38 And should he come
in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are
those servants."

No Substitute For Vigilance

Vigilance! Vigilance! Vigilance! This is what the Lord Jesus is stressing in the

Gospel today. He was reminding His disciples of His First Coming (Christmas) and

preparing them for His Second Coming (Day of Judgment). The prophets told the
Jews about it — to prepare for that First Coming. But opposed to their belief,
God came in an unexpected manner, on a silent and holy night. Thus, they did not

recognize Jesus as the Savior. That is why there are still Jews today who await
the Messiah.
As Jesus said in the Gospels, the Second Coming will be so swift that one would
not have time to go down from the roof or go home from the field. It will be
unexpected, like a thief in the night. The Lord Jesus would not want us to act
only when the time is near. As human beings, we tend to procrastinate some of
the things we want and need to do and wait for the last opportunity to come. We
cannot cram our relationship with God, or deepen it in an instant. To ask for
salvation is not a last-minute decision. Not knowing when the Lord will come
will help us actively anticipate His coming. We are encouraged to pray, do acts
of charity and make sacrifices during our time of waiting. So that when the Lord

comes, He will recognize us and invite us to join Him in His Father's Kingdom.
St. Paul, in his letter to the early Christians, admonished them to go on with
their lives and not abandon everything for prayer and passive waiting in
temples. For him, waiting is living your daily life in the Spirit of the Lord.
To stress his point, he went as far as decreeing that those who will not work
will not eat.
We must live our lives according to God's purpose here and now. There is urgency

in fulfilling this. This is what Christian vigilance is about. We are good
servants who patiently and enthusiastically await our Master. When He comes, we
should be able to humbly tell Him that we fulfilled what He commanded us to do;
that we are ready to do whatever He will further command. The vigilant Christian

always has the satisfaction of his Master in mind. Jesus expects that when He
comes again, we will be prepared and worthy of His coming. There is no
substitute for vigilance.Fr. Benny Tuazon

Reflection Question:
Are there times when you live your life apart from the Lord? Do you take every
opportunity to do your best? Can you look back on your life and say with
conviction that you did everything in God's way?

Lord Jesus, teach me to follow Your ways all my life. I want to be worthy of
You.

St. Charles Garnier, pray for us.

Feast of St. Luke, evangelist
FRIENDS WITH THE WOLF

"Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves." –Luke 10:3

She bought a new male Czechoslovakian Wolf-Dog for a pet. Every morning, this
woman would pry the dog's jaws open and force a dose of cod liver oil into his
mouth so he could have a healthier and shinier coat. He struggled but she
persisted. He doesn't know what's good for him! she thought.
One day, however, the bottle tipped over. To her surprise, the dog sniffed at
the fishy liquid and began lapping up what had spilled. He actually loved the
stuff. He simply objected to being coerced!
Sometimes we use a similar method in bringing people to the Lord. The "way of
the wolf" — an intense, in-your-face kind of confrontation, rarely works. In our

sincere but overly enthusiastic attempt, we create resistance and repel people.
Wolves are fierce predators. Lambs are excellent friend-makers. Jesus called us
not to be wolves among wolves, but to be lambs among wolves. I thought it was
clear. Jon Escoto (faithatworkjon@gmail.com)

Luke was, for some time at least, the companion of Paul on his missionary
journeys. If we compare the Last Supper account of Luke with the one in 1
Corinthians, we will find many more similarities with Luke than with either Mark

or Matthew. It also explains where Luke, the supposed author of Acts, got the
vast majority of his material. This text also tells us that Paul encountered all

sorts of difficulties in the course of proclaiming the Gospel. Therefore, take
heart when you encounter them yourselves.

2 Timothy 4:10-17b
10 Beloved: Demas, enamored of the present world, deserted me and went to
Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Luke is the only
one with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is helpful to me in the
ministry. 12 I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus. 13 When you come, bring the cloak
I left with Carpus in Troas, the papyrus rolls, and especially the parchments.
14 Alexander the coppersmith did me a great deal of harm; the Lord will repay
him according to his deeds. 15 You too be on guard against him, for he has
strongly resisted our preaching. 16 At my first defense no one appeared on my
behalf, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them! 17 But the
Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the proclamation might

be completed and all the Gentiles might hear it.

P S A L M

Psalm 145:10-11, 12-13, 17-18
R: Your friends make known, O Lord, the glorious splendor of your Kingdom.

10 Let all your works give you thanks, O LORD, and let your faithful ones bless
you. 11 Let them discourse of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might.

(R) 12 Making known to men your might and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.

13 Your kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and your dominion endures through all

generations. (R) 17 The LORD is just in all his ways and holy in all his works.
18 The LORD is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth.

(R)

G O S P E L
Each of us has our own part to play in God's plan of spreading the Gospel
through the whole world. We cannot leave it up to a zealous few. Each of us must

take responsibility for the part God wants us to perform. None of us are exempt,

because whatever He asks, the Holy Spirit will give us the ability to do. We
have no good excuse for not sharing the Gospel with others.

Luke 10:1-9
1 The Lord Jesus appointed seventy-two disciples whom he sent ahead of him in
pairs to every town and place he intended to visit. 2 He said to them, "The
harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest. 3 Go on your way; behold, I am sending you

like lambs among wolves. 4 Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no

one along the way. 5 Into whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this
household.' 6 If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but

if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay in the same house and eat and drink what
is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from
one house to another. 8 Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what
is set before you, 9 cure the sick in it and say to them, 'The kingdom of God is

at hand for you.'"

Saints Are Us

Today we honor St. Luke, the Evangelist. He wrote one of the four known Gospels
of Jesus Christ and is also known as the author of the Acts of the Apostles. He
is considered an excellent writer because of his good command of the Hebraic and

Greek languages and his adeptness at those two cultures.
His Gospel is very similar to Matthew's in that they both focus on the anawims
of society — the less fortunate widows, beggars, prisoners, and the sick. They,
who captured God's attention, inspired him to write the Good News. The sending
of the apostles in today's Gospel reading reminds us of our task as Christians.
We are being sent to bring the Good News of salvation to the needy. This task is

also characterized by urgency. Jesus stressed that those He sends should act
with willingness and concern. If there are people who do not readily accept the
Good News, they should not waste time with them. They should go to the next
person or community to give more people the opportunity to hear, understand and
live the Good News of salvation.
The apostles, the prophets, the Gospel writers and the priests are not the only
ones sent. Every Christian, by virtue of their Baptism, has the responsibility
to proclaim the Gospel. The apostles gave us an example that we must imitate.
This is mainly why we remember them and celebrate their feasts. The Mass Preface

for Holy Men and Women states, "You are glorified in your saints, for their
glory is the crowning of your gifts. In their lives on earth You give us an
example." The lives of saints are given emphasis because they did not really
leave us; they continually guide us from heaven. "Through the apostles You watch

over us and protect us always. You made them shepherds of the flock... and from
their place in heaven they guide us still," says the priest in the Preface for
the Apostles. What they achieved, we are also expected to achieve, and we can
achieve them in our own way. God made man holy from the beginning, but we
allowed sin to consume us. But He gives us the grace to recover our original
blessing — by defeating sin and recovering holiness. Thanks for saints like
Luke. We can be like them, too. Fr. Benny Tuazon

Reflection Question:
Do you also see yourself as a saint whom God relies on for the salvation of
many? Do you see the strength you will have from your redeemed weakness?

By Your grace, O God, may we live saintly lives by, first and foremost,
spreading Your Good News.

St. Kevoca, pray for us.

GRATEFUL

I do not cease giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. – Ephesians

1:16

Several years ago, I learned a cool technique on praying the rosary from Bo
Sanchez. If you dedicate each bead for a person, each Hail Mary and Holy Mary
becomes more meaningful and less likely to be mechanical.
So before moving on to the next bead, I silently mention the name of someone I
want to pray for. By the time I reach the last decade, I'd be mentioning five
people at a time because I'm running out of beads.
When I think of these people, aside from their concerns, I release a sigh of
thanksgiving. For all they've been and done in my life. Then I realize that we
have so much to be grateful for — so many people in our lives to thank God for.
No matter how many times I repeat this process, it's fresh every time.
Wanna give it a try?George Tolentino Gabriel (George.svp@gmail.com)

REFLECTION:
Have you thanked God for the people in your life lately?

Lord, thank You for manifesting Your presence through my loved ones.

1st READING

Where can I start in trying to open up this litany of praise the author, whoever

he may be, has to the Triune God? The first three chapters of the Letter to the
Ephesians seem to be written in some sort of reverie of awe and wonder of the
greatness of God. Let us read it as such and join our praise with that of the
author and just let our spirits soar to the heights of the glory of God.

Ephesians 1:15-23
15 Brothers and sisters: Hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and of your
love for all the holy ones, 16 I do not cease giving thanks for you, remembering

you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of
him. 18 May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is
the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his
inheritance among the holy ones, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of his
power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might, 20
which he worked in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his
right hand in the heavens, 21 far above every principality, authority, power,
and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the
one to come. 22 And he put all things beneath his feet and gave him as head over

all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of the one who
fills all things in every way.

P S A L M

Psalm 8:2-3ab, 4-5, 6-7
R: You have given your Son rule over the works of your hands.
1 [2] O LORD, our Lord, how glorious is your name over all the earth! You have
exalted your majesty above the heavens. 2 [3] Out of the mouths of babes and
sucklings you have fashioned praise because of your foes. (R) 3 [4] When I
behold your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you
set in place — 4 [5] what is man that you should be mindful of him, or the son
of man that you should care for him? (R) 5 [6] You have made him little less
than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor. 6 [7] You have given him
rule over the works of your hands, putting all things under his feet. (R)

The Holy Spirit is also a very good guide when trying to discern what things of
the world we should accept and which ones to reject. The Holy Spirit knows the
mind and heart of God intimately and one of His roles is to make it known to us
through the truth. Let us listen to His guidance and heed His word and advice in

all things and not just those that are convenient for us to do so.

Luke 12:8-12
8 Jesus said to his disciples: "I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before
others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God. 9 But hoever
denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God. 10 "Everyone
who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who
blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. 11 When they take you
before synagogues and before rulers and authorities, do not worry about how or
what your defense will be or about what you are to say. 12 For the Holy Spirit
will teach you at that moment what you should say."

of His roles is to make it known to us.

The Spirit To Turn To

The beginning of this Gospel talks about acknowledging God. Surely, Jesus is not

saying that God needs recognition from us. God is perfect and full in Himself.
Further, what will the recognition and praise of mere creatures like us do to
God? Nothing. He asks for it for our own good. Truth is, as in thanksgiving, our

acknowledgment of God is for our salvation. When we acknowledge God, we become
more aware of who we are. It humbles us and makes us see our limitations. We
accept our dependence on God, that we need His guiding presence in facing the
challenges of Christian life.
Foremost of these needs is the need for discernment and wisdom. The worst thing
that can happen to any human being is to dissociate himself from God. When one
comes to believe that he can live life by himself without God's assistance, he
commits the greatest blunder. Guidance by the Spirit is necessary. We cannot do
without it. We have sealed our fate when we decide to sever our ties with the
Spirit. This is the essence of Jesus' warning that a denial of the Son of Man
may be forgiven but a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable. There
was a time when the act of suicide was believed to be what the Gospel is
referring to. There is some truth to that in the sense that killing oneself is a

clear sign of desperation. This state is against the very inspiration of the
Holy Spirit. In such a situation, our only hope is the Holy Spirit. When one
rejects even the very inspiration of the Spirit, change, repentance and hope can

no longer penetrate a person and therefore renders him separated from God. The
rejection of the Spirit is considered blasphemy in the sense that it is a
rejection of God Himself.
This is further elaborated when we are being persecuted. God does not abandon us

during trying times. He promised us the guidance of His Spirit, and this is the
Lord's ultimate point. God will always remain with us. Jesus, Emmanuel (God with

us!), gave us His Spirit to make His presence always felt. It is our
responsibility to always seek the guidance of the Spirit, to heed its promptings

and go where it blows. To do otherwise, much less to completely shut it out,
would be blasphemous!Fr. Benny Tuazon

Reflection Question:
When you are in need of enlightenment, whom do you turn to? Do you appreciate
the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to direct us to goodness?

Come, Holy Spirit, fill my heart and enkindle in me the fire of Your love.

St. Maxima, pray for us.

answered prayer

For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision or uncircumcision counts for anything,

but only faith working through love. – Galatians 5:6

Clarissa was raped when she was 15 years old. From this sad experience came a
pretty baby girl. Her friends advised her to abort the baby so she could go on
with her life. But she didn’t listen to them. After five years of living a
hand-to-mouth existence, she decided to leave for Shanghai and work in a factory

with a meager salary.
Every night she would ask the Lord to make it possible for her daughter to join
her in China. She’d cry herself to sleep, hugging a small pajama top of her
daughter, imagining that she would soon get answers from God. Little did she
know that her supervisor witnessed her anguish and was determined to help her.
She was an asset to the company and the officers decided to help her. One day,
she was called to the office of the Administrator and was told that they were
sending her home (she was trembling because she thought she was being fired!) to

fix the papers of her daughter so she could join her in China. They were giving
her an all-expense-paid trip, including money for the visa fees and pocket
money.

Really, the important thing is faith — the kind of faith that works through
love. Chelle Crisanto (ellehcmaria@yahoo.com)

1st READING

Paul tells us that the freedom that comes with faith in Christ is full and
total. What a joy and relief this is. Unfortunately, we do not experience this
total freedom because we choose to place ourselves back under slavery through
sinning. It is hard to work out the logic of why we sin when we know the
wonderful life that is offered to us if we reject sin. This tension demonstrates

the power and attraction of the pleasures of the world, the most common cause of

sin. What this means is that we need to open our hearts more fully to the truth
of what salvation offers us so that the world will no longer be an attractive
option to us.

Galatians 5:1-6
1 Brothers and sisters: For freedom Christ set us free; so stand firm and do not

submit again to the yoke of slavery. 2 It is I, Paul, who am telling you that if

you have yourselves circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you. 3 Once
again I declare to every man who has himself circumcised that he is bound to
observe the entire law. 4 You are separated from Christ, you who are trying to
be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. 5 For through the Spirit, by
faith, we await the hope of righteousness. 6 For in Christ Jesus, neither
circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working
through love.

P S A L M

Psalm 119:41, 43, 44, 45, 47, 48
R: Let your mercy come to me, O Lord.
41 Let your mercy come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise.
(R) 43 Take not the word of truth from my mouth, for in your ordinances is my
hope. (R) 44 And I will keep your law continually, forever and ever. (R) 45 And
I will walk at liberty, because I seek your precepts. (R) 47 And I will delight
in your commands, which I love. (R) 48 And I will lift up my hands to your
commands and meditate on your statutes. (R)

G O S P E L

Good health demands that we take certain washing precautions before eating, not
religion. Religion or faith is concerned with the state of our inner being and
the best way to clean that is through repentance and an obedience to the
Father’s will. What is the sign of a clean heart? Well it has nothing to do with

water. The best sign of a clean heart will be a holy and righteous life.

Luke 11:37-41
37 After Jesus had spoken, a Pharisee invited him to dine at his home. He
entered and reclined at table to eat. 38 The Pharisee was amazed to see that he
did not observe the prescribed washing before the meal. 39 The Lord said to him,

“Oh you Pharisees! Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish,
inside you are filled with plunder and evil. 40 You fools!

my reflections t h i n k : The best sign of a clean heart is a holy and
righteous life. Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? 41 But as

to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you.”

The Power Of Giving Alms

Time and again, the Gospel authors mentioned Jesus as having access to the minds

and hearts of the people around Him. He criticized the Pharisees for being
externally clean yet internally impure, for external acts should be connected
with the internal disposition. Words are not enough. Actions are better. But
intentions make actions perfect and effective.
Jesus told the Pharisees to give alms and they would be cleaned. What about
giving alms? The Gospel gives us an idea on how important it is. It not only
invites generosity but also encourages sacrifice on the giver’s part. More
importantly, it is a response to God’s call to be a neighbor to your neighbor.
The act benefits the receiver physically, and hopefully leads him to appreciate
his neighbor’s goodness, and ultimately leads him to God’s everlasting love. The

giver benefits not only in the satisfaction of having helped one in need but in
being given the grace of salvation.
Cardinal Rosales’s Pondo ng Pinoy stresses this: “Ano mang magaling, kahit
maliit, basta’t malimit, patungong langit!” (Anything that is good, no matter
how little, if done habitually, leads to eternal life!) It is based on the
parable of Lazarus and the rich man who, while on earth, never gave Lazarus alms

in spite of the latter always waiting for a little mercy at his gate. So, when
both died, Lazarus went to heaven and the rich man went to hell. Jesus’ parable
points out that Lazarus went to heaven because he endured and accepted his
situation. He did not do any evil to free himself from poverty. His faithfulness

brought him to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man, however, met his fate because

he lacked in generosity. Had he, out of his goodness, given Lazarus a piece of
bread even the size of a crumb, he would have merited heaven. Jesus showed here
that giving alms, no matter how small, if done sincerely, may lead one to
heaven.

The beauty of Jesus’ teaching is the fact that all are capable of generosity.
The Plenary Council of the Philippines says,  “Nobody is so poor that he can not

give. Nobody is so rich that he will not be in need!” If giving alms leads to
salvation, then all can be saved. Fr. Benny Tuazon

Reflection Question:
Is charity a part of your daily life? Are you always willing to share your time,

talent or your treasure to others in need? Do you realize the power of giving
alms in helping people know God more?

Lead me to bless others, Father, with the blessings You have showered upon me.

St. Fiace, pray for us.

How You Can Be A Blessing-Magnet

How You Can Be A
Blessing-Magnet

The Bible says, "Be thankful in all circumstances."
You see, some people put "conditions" to their happiness:
I'll be thankful if I find a boyfriend who is as cute as Enchong and has
the body of Derek.
I'll be thankful if my husband changes.
I'll be thankful if my friend apologizes to me.
I'll be thankful if I get promoted in my job.
I'll be thankful if I have a baby.
I'll be thankful if I graduate from school.
I'll be thankful if I buy a new cellphone.
Friend, don't do that. Don't be unfair to yourself!
Or you'll never be happy.
Don't wait for something to happen before you become thankful. Make a decision
to be thankful for the blessings that you have right now!
And you'll be happy forever.
Follow Psalms 77:11 when it says, I will remember your great deeds, Lord; I will

recall the wonders you did in the past.
Do you know what will happen?
By being thankful, you'll become a blessing magnet.
If you want to increase your blessings, you've got to be thankful for the
blessings that are already there.
Being Thankful Is Dynamite
Being thankful is powerful.
It has explosive power.
When you're thankful, you unlock your happiness. You unlock your peace. You
unlock the storeroom of God's blessings. And you unlock your wealth.
Let me explain.
Wealth is not your money. Wealth is not your land. Wealth is not your
jewelry. Why? Because wealth is a feeling.
Because wealth is not measured by how much money you have. Or how much land you
own. Or how much jewelry you possess. Wealth is measured by how thankful you
are.

Let me tell you a story.
Two years ago, a man came up to me, asking for prayers.
Irritation was written all over his face.
With much anger, he said, "Please pray for me, Brother Bo. My heart is so
heavy. I'm a salesman. I got P350,000 in commission…"
I looked at him in a funny way. I wondered, So what's so bad about that?
He shakes his head, "I know that seems big, Brother Bo, but it should have been
P500,000! But I didn't reach my quota by just a few pesos. Because of that
technicality, I didn't get half a million. I got P350,000 only…"
He felt so bad.
I prayed over him and asked God to heal his hurt.
After praying for him, I went backstage.
A friend of mine was waiting for me there.
When I saw her, she was smiling from ear to ear. She said, "Bo, I'm so happy. I
just received a P3000 increase in my salary!"
I began to laugh. Her gratitude was so refreshing.
Tell me. Who was richer among the two? The one who got P350,000? Or the
one who got the P3000?
Answer: The one who got the P3000.
Why?
Because wealth is not measured by how much money you have. It's measured by how
thankful you are.

Be Thankful Even When It's Difficult
I know.
Some of you might be saying, "But Bo, it's so difficult to be thankful
now. You don't know what I'm going through. My problems are over my head."
Perhaps you're buried in debt.
Perhaps your relationships are broken.
Perhaps sickness is ravaging your body.
Friend, if you want more miracles in your life, you've got to be thankful

not only for what you see, but for what you do not see.
Being thankful in all circumstances means penetrating the physical realm
and going into the spiritual realm. Entering into the sphere of the
invisible. And thanking God that He is working behind the shadows. That He is
working behind the storms of your life.
I remember the story of my friend, Aiai de las Alas.
Is It Storming In Your Life?
She was telling me how nervous she was when her first major movie was
about to be released—the first movie where she was the main star.
Before it's opening day, she prayed to God that it wouldn't rain. So that

a lot of people will watch her movie. She even went to Baclaran, knelt down, and

implored that there be no rain.
When she woke up on her movie's opening day, it wasn't raining. She
looked out the window and it was storming!
She switched on the radio. The radio reporter said, "Today, Pagasa has
declared Signal Number 3 over Metro Manila…"
Her heart sunk. That day, Aiai cried buckets of tears. She asked God why
He didn't answer her prayer. She felt abandoned by God.
But a few days later, she learned what really happened. Because of the
storm, school was cancelled. And all the students went to the malls. And just on

the opening day, her movie grossed P13 Million.
And her movie became the top grossing film of that year!
The storm became her biggest blessing.
Friend, are there violent storms raging in your life right now?
Don't give up. Don't lose hope. Because God will turn that storm into
your biggest blessing.
Let me end with one last instruction on being thankful…
Being Thankful On Credit
This is big.
This will impact your life in a powerful way.
Awhile ago, I told you to be thankful for the blessings that you already
have. But you also have to learn to be thankful for the blessings that are yet
to come.
Instead of praying with fear, "Lord, please give me a house. Please give me a
house. Please give me house!" say instead with confidence, "Lord, I thank you
for my house that is on it's way!"
Thank God in advance for what He will do.
In the words of T.D. Jakes, Thank God on credit. (In other words, may utang pa
si Lord sa iyo.)
Start thanking God in advance for the fulfillment of your dreams!

May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez

Report to my TrulyRichClub members only.
In the Report, I'll tell you about a giant danger that you need watch out for,
now that the Stock Market is shooting up to the stars. This Report will protect
you from crazy mistakes a lot of people will be making in the next few months!
Not yet a TrulyRichClub Member? You're missing so much! Because I can teach you

how to prosper. For example, I believe you're missing a lot if you don't make
the Stock Market your magic piggybank.
Hey, I know what people are going to say… (A lot of "Buts".)
· "But Bo, I know many who got burned in the Stock Market."
· "But Bo, isn't the Stock Market for rich people only?"
Here are my answers:
· You're not going to "trade" the Stock Market. (That's why 85% of people

lose their money—because they trade.) You're going to "invest" in the Stock
Market. That's totally different. I'll teach you how to do this. If you follow

my simple strategy, you'll retire a multimillionaire.

· You say only people with big money can invest in the Stock Market? Tell

that to my maids at home. They will laugh at you. Because I taught my three
house helpers how to invest their small amounts each month--and they're now
exceedingly happy. Because their money has grown tremendously in their magic
piggybank called the Stock Market.
I repeat: Follow my strategy and you'll retire a multi-millionaire.
